Recently, I visited the Eventide Lutheran Home in Hamilton. Around 50 residents gathered for morning tea and a Q&A. Seeing the residents come together with some of the staff and the manager was a wonderful example of what aged care can provide to the community.
Thank you to all the aged care providers right across my electorate for everything that you do. You allow the elderly to remain in the communities where they’ve lived, it means family can visit them without having to travel to do so, and you provide valuable local employment.
That’s why it’s so important that we get any changes to our aged care system right.
