Better Roads, Rail and Air

The Black Spot Program is a road safety program run by the Australian Government to fix dangerous roads by treating road locations where many motor vehicle accidents have occurred.

2022 Corner of Queen and Wilson Street, Colac - install wombat crossings and improve delineation with upgraded line marking, raised pavement markers, warning signs and street lighting $345,712
2021 Murray Street and Gellibrand Street, Colac - install electronic speed signage for daytime 40 km/h limit, fully controlled right turns on most signal approaches, pedestrian early start phases, Give Way to Pedestrian signs, improved signal sighting and a pedestrian refuge $1,900,000
2018 Hart Street from Irrewillipe Road to Miller Street, Colac - install line marking, bicycle lane, raised reflective pavement markers (RRPMs), signage and painted kerb outstands $13,100
