Better Roads, Rail and Air

The Black Spot Program is a road safety program run by the Australian Government to fix dangerous roads by treating road locations where many motor vehicle accidents have occurred.

2018 Lake View Road from Lake Street to Tower Hill Road at Koroit to install a safety barrier, improved line marking, signage and chevron alignment marker. $148,000
2016 The intersection of Skenes Road and Beach Access Road at Port Fairy to widen the road for a right turn bypass and protected left turn lane, remove the Y-intersection by squaring the layout and reduce the speed limit to 80km/h. $252,000
2016 Intersections of James Street with Cox Street and Campbell Street at Port Fairy to install splitter islands and new street lighting $126,000
