Delivering Regional Services

The Local Schools Community Fund (the Fund) supports the Australian Government’s commitment to education by providing a contribution to schools for small-scale projects and their associated costs. Schools could apply for one project between $1,000 and $20,000. Projects will be for small-scale capital and non-capital initiatives.

As a cluster of schools and local community organisations, we are partnering with the Resilience Project in 2020. There is a direct need to support further the development of resilience and overall mental health in the youth of our municipality.
The project aims to develop and maintain a consistent approach from both education and community faculties, to support the development of Resilience in our children.

Ararat North Primary School
(2019) 
Re-purposing of the old bike shed and surrounds into an attractive and relaxing outdoor eating area for use by students, families and friends. This will include the following:

  • Remove old bike racks,
  • Supply suitable outdoor tables and chairs,
  • Add attractive screens to the rear of the shed to block out car park, and
  • Landscape around the shed with suitable plants, ground cover and flexible seating
