Eleven community groups in Wannon will share in $105,940 to undertake a range of projects to build community engagement and participation, local member Dan Tehan said.
“It has been a pleasure for me to work with these organisations through the project assessment process which involved working with an independent local panel. I have been able to see firsthand the diverse needs and innovative ideas within our communities, ensuring every dollar spent has maximum local impact.”
The following recipient community groups will deliver tangible benefits to communities across the Wannon electorate with the grants they have received:
"These grassroots clubs and organisations will deliver practical improvements ranging from facility upgrades and equipment purchases to community infrastructure enhancements that significantly benefit our local residents.”
"Local community groups are the heart and soul of our regional towns, suburbs and communities. Their dedication and tireless efforts improve our social fabric, enhance our local amenities and foster community spirit. I thank them for their efforts," said Mr Tehan.
"I congratulate all successful applicants for their vision and commitment to making Wannon a better place and look forward to seeing the results of their hard work," concluded Mr Tehan.
