Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan, has announced that all 23 applications from the Wannon electorate in the 2024–25 Volunteer Grants round have been approved, with a total of $64,725 in funding awarded to support local volunteers and their vital work in the community.
“As your local member, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact of volunteering across Wannon,” Mr Tehan said. “Our volunteers are the backbone of many community organisations and their hard work continues to strengthen our region.
“I’m proud to support the efforts of these organisations which play a key role in supporting local families and businesses. Volunteering brings people together and also delivers significant social and economic benefits to our communities.”

The funding allocated by the 2024-25 Volunteer Grants Round can be used to purchase small equipment, cover the cost of insurance, or pay for items and services that support volunteers or volunteer-led activities, particularly those benefiting children under the age of 18.
Volunteers remain at the heart of many Australian organisations, with millions across the country dedicating their time and skills to support others and help their communities thrive.
