The Hon. Dan Tehan MP, Member for Wannon and Shadow Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction, is currently undertaking a study tour on nuclear energy in the United States.
Mr Tehan is meeting with U.S. Government officials including Dr Mike Goff, Acting Assistant Secretary, Office of Nuclear Energy, U.S. Department of Energy; U.S. research and development institutions; and leading U.S. energy and finance companies.
As part of the study tour, Mr Tehan will visit the Idaho National Laboratory who are undertaking world-leading research on the development of Small Nuclear Reactors, and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee who are leading the U.S. Department of Energy’s innovation network for fusion energy.
