WESTERN HIGHWAY DUPLICATION
Ararat Rural

$360,000,003

Better Roads, Rail and Air

The Western Highway forms part of the Melbourne to Adelaide freight route and is a vital link in the freight flow between eastern and central Australia. This link serves a mix of regional communities and industries, linking major agriculture, including grain, timber, horticulture and livestock production areas of western Victoria and South Australia to Melbourne, Adelaide and the associated export markets.

Completing the Western Highway duplication will boost capacity, drive freight efficiencies to lower business costs and improve safety along the highway.
