Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan, encourages wineries, cellar doors and cider producers from across Wannon to apply for funding under the Wine Tourism and Cellar Door Grants program.
Mr Tehan said the aim of the program is to support wine or cider producers who add value by encouraging visitors to wine regions and thereby encourage wine tourism.
Wannon is home to some fantastic wineries and cider producers, so this provides an excellent opportunity for them to have their wines rediscovered and further promote this wonderful region, said Mr Tehan.
The program provides funding of up to $100,000 to wineries and cellar door operators who grow and promote Agri-tourism, largely in regional Australia.
The Wine Tourism and Cellar Doors Grants provide $10 million each financial year for eligible wine producers. Wine Australia estimates that the Australian wine industry comprises 2,156 wineries and 6,000 grape growers, employing more than 160,000 employees across 65 wine regions.
Application submissions are open until 30 September 2023.
