Dan Tehan, Member for Wannon, is calling on the Albanese Labor Government to immediately reverse its decision to impose a de facto regional processing penalty on skilled workers in priority sectors hoping to accept one of the thousands of jobs that need to be filled in regional communities.
I rise this afternoon to commend two local families from southwest Victoria, the Barkla and McConnell families, who have set up an organisation called We’ve Got You.

The test for this year’s federal budget was for the Government to build on the strong position it inherited from the Coalition to address the cost-of-living crisis bearing down on families and businesses in Wannon.
The new Labor Government is continuing their vendetta against rural and regional Australia with the confirmation it will abolish the Coalition Government’s Building Better Building Regions Fund (BBRF).
Labor’s plan to break its promise to deliver legislated tax cuts will mean thousands of families across Wannon will be worse off.
