Corangamite

$300,000

Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development

"The upgrades have been identified as a priority to improve the safety for participants, increase the chances of clubs attracting and retaining participants and to increase access and usage. These works are identified as a priority in the Great South Coast AFL, Netball and Cricket Strategy and are supported by the Recreation Reserve Committee of Management, Cobden Football Netball Club and Cobden Tennis Club.

In addition, there is a demand for female facilities at the Cobden Recreation Reserve with the establishment of an under 18’s female football team. If funding can be secured through this program, it is expected that there will be an increase in the number of females participating at the reserve.
Currently, there are three under 18 female football teams across the Corangamite Shire. The upgrade allows Cobden Recreation Reserve to become a venue for further female teams including the development of female senior sides."
