Funding was approved to establish the Corangamite Trades Skills Centre. The Trades Skills Centre includes the construction of a new facility utilising and refurbishing an existing construction facility to include engineering, automotive and electrotechnology workshop, the refurbishment and extension of the existing hospitality facility to include a commercial kitchen and also the provision of equipment across two sites within the cluster.
It will deliver qualifications in automotive, construction, electrotechnology, engineering and hospitality to address skills shortages in the trades of carpenter and joiner, cook, electrician (general), fitter (general) and motor mechanics (general).
