The current Mud Brick Hut is in need of renewing and the gathering spaces are disconnected from the adjacent play space and only accessed from the road via stairs. There is limited space for large gatherings and visibility from the shelter to the play space is impeded. Shade and protection from the elements is also needed. The design aims to create a flexible space for multiple uses and events, to build a greater visual connection to the play space and river below and to provide DDA compliant access and inclusion.
