I am deeply saddened by the horrific and deadly attack at Bondi beach yesterday.
I grieve for those who died, pray for the recovery of those who have been injured, and stand squarely alongside our Jewish community.
The Jewish Australian community are a cherished and treasured part of our nation. That is why the rise of antisemitism is abhorrent and so deeply troubling and must be stopped.
I urge all Australians to reach out to our Jewish community and offer solidarity and support in this dark time.
I thank all the first responders and citizens who acted so bravely to halt the terror and help the deceased and injured.
I condemn this attack in the strongest terms and call for justice to be swiftly delivered.
