The project will deploy a new Telstra 4GX macro cell base station in the Corangamite Shire
community of Ecklin South. The new base station will provide improved mobile coverage
along a transport corridor within the significant dairy region, increasing supply chain
efficiency and freight safety. Improved coverage will also support the uptake of new
agricultural and business technologies, increased public safety coverage in a high-risk
bushfire area, and access to telehealth and education services for the growing community.
