Install laminate flooring in the Illowa Hall. The current floorboards no longer have the capacity to be renovated and repolished, previous vounteer efforts at repolishign the floor have proved ineffective. Professional advice received is that having industrial grade laminate flooring over the current floorboards is the safest, most cost-effective and environmentally sound option.
This project will contribute to more vibrant communities by improving the facilities. The Illowa Hall is an important meeting place for the community and its upgrade will encourage continued community participation in social activities by a wide range of users. This project was recommended for funding
by the Community Consultative Committee at their meeting on 12 September, 2019.
