The thermal loop supplies hot water for heating to six community buildings including the Portland Leisure and Aquatics Centre and is around 30 years old. This proposal is to start replacing the pipeline in stages to spread the cost out over several years. Stage 1 will see the installation of new pipes in the lower section (from the pump shed to the Portland Leisure and Aquatics Centre and Fawthrop Community Centre)
