Funding was approved to establish the Maryborough Education Centre Trades Skills Centre. The Trades Skills Centre includes the construction of a new building and the refurbishment and enlargement of current facilities to include workshops for automotive, construction and engineering and also the provision of equipment. It will deliver qualifications in automotive, construction and engineering to address skills shortages in the trades of carpenter, carpenter and joiner, diesel motor mechanic, metal fabricator, motor mechanics (general) and sheetmetal trades workers.
