An elected Liberal Government will provide greater opportunity for local families and young people
to stay active and healthy by delivering the new Colac Bike Park at Elliminyt Recreation Reserve.
Dan Tehan, Liberal Member for Wannon, has secured this commitment to ensure the Colac
community has access to high-quality recreational infrastructure that supports healthier, more
active lifestyles.
"I’ve had strong feedback from local families and recreational riders about the need for a bike park
to give young people a safe, purpose-built space to ride,” Mr Tehan said.
“I’ll always listen and fight for our community. This project will promote physical activity, support
local families, and enhance the liveability of Colac,” said Mr Tehan.
Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Senator the Hon Bridget McKenzie, said: “The new bike park will
encourage young riders to hone their skills in a safe and controlled purpose-built facility, while
undertaking physical activity.”
“Getting people into sport at a young age can have positive health benefits throughout their whole
life.”
