An elected Liberal Government will invest $350,000 to build new female changing rooms and extend
existing shelter sheds for players, officials and spectators at the Dartmoor Football Netball Club,
ensuring all participants have access to modern, fit-for-purpose facilities.
Liberal Member for Wannon, Hon Dan Tehan MP, highlighted how the investment demonstrates the Liberals’ dedication to strengthening grassroots sports and promoting greater female participation.
“The Dartmoor Football Netball Club is the heart of the community, uniting people and nurturing a
passion for sport in our junior players,” Mr. Tehan said.
“This funding will provide much-needed female changing rooms, ensuring that all players have the
facilities they need."
Dartmoor Football Netball Club President, Josh Pridham, welcomed the funding commitment, calling
it a significant step forward for the club and broader community.
“This is an extremely welcome investment for our eight netball teams and female junior footballers
who have been forced to change in out-dated, crammed amenities, without sufficient space, security
or storage,” Mr. Pridham said.
“This new accessible space will deliver privacy, comfort and practical amenities providing for the
long-term success of our club, supporting the attraction and retention of more players, volunteers
and supporters. Importantly, it will also act as a key set of amenities for use during local community
events, including the popular Dartmoor Rodeo.”
Only Dan Tehan and the Liberals have a plan to build a stronger economy and invest in Wannon’s
future, ensuring regional communities have the sporting infrastructure they need to thrive.
