An elected Dutton Liberal Government will provide $90,000 to support the construction of a commercial kitchen at the Sikh Community Centre in Dennington, helping to provide meals for Warrnambool’s most vulnerable.

Liberal Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan, said this funding would help ensure people in the local Warrnambool community have access to essential meal services.

“A strong community looks after its most vulnerable. This funding will help expand the Sikh community’s meal delivery initiative, ensuring more people receive the support they need,” Mr Tehan said.

Shadow Minister for Home Affairs and Cyber Security, Senator James Paterson, said under a Dutton Liberal Government, the Warrnambool community will be stronger, more connected, and better supported.

"Getting Australia back on track means keeping Australians safe – safe for families, safe for businesses, and safe for communities," Senator Paterson said.

"Projects delivered under the Safer Communities Fund will help bring local communities together by ensuring they have the support they need."

This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to strengthen our local communities and get our country back on track.
