An elected Liberal Government will provide safe and modern player shelters for women’s teams at the Warrnambool Football Netball Club, supporting local female athletes and investing in community sport.
Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan MP, has secured this commitment to ensure that female players and supporters have access to upgraded facilities.
“I’ve heard strong feedback from the local community about the need for better facilities for women and girls in sport,” Mr Tehan said.
“This investment in player shelters for women’s teams at the Warrnambool Football Netball Club will provide a safe and comfortable space for female players, volunteers, and supporters. Thanks to the local community for advocating for this – I’m proud to fight for and commit to this project for Warrnambool.”
“This project will improve player safety, encourage greater participation, and ensure that local women’s teams have the facilities they need to develop and thrive.”
